Most importantly, prolonged sunlight fades it. Larimar left in strong sun over time loses its blue, and the change cannot be reversed, so never leave it on a windowsill, a dashboard, or a poolside table. Take it off for swimming, showering, and exercise, and keep it away from perfume, lotions, sunscreen, and all cleaning products. Wipe with a soft dry cloth, never use a dip or ultrasonic cleaner, and store it in the dark, away from harder beads.
